Fandom Trumps Hate

We got an email today from someone who is excited to bid on a couple of fic writers in the upcoming FTH auction, but was concerned that there wouldn’t be anyone offering to create for their two primary fandoms, Dissidia Final Fantasy and Transformers G1.

We were glad they emailed, because as of now, with just 36 hours left to go in creator signups, we don’t have anyone signed up for either!

So:

If you’re seeing this post because you’re one of the 2000+ (!!) people who follow FTH, and you’re interested in creating fanworks for either Transformers or Dissidia Final Fantasy — or if you think you have followers who might be — please consider this an encouragement to sign up to create for one or both of these fandoms!

If you’re seeing this post because you follow the tags for DFF or Transformers G1, and you’re thinking “what is this FTH thing?” the short answer is that we are a pan-fandom fanworks auction that raises money for an array of nonprofits that protect and advocate for vulnerable communities that have been targeted by the Trump administration. Fanwork creators sign up by listing their fandoms, indicating what kind of fanwork they will create, and describing their particular interests (and dislikes). Then, the person who wins a given creator’s auction will get to prompt that creator. You can read more about FTH, including this year’s auction calendar, here.
